Morbid Curiosities SAL Cabinet of Curiosities Stitch-A-Long

Come on a journey of the macabre and see a collection of natural specimens that show the beauty of nature and death. This Stitch-A-Long (SAL) is all about Cabinet of Curiosities - those shelves, cabinets, or room stuffed full of creepy anatomy, wet specimens, bones, natural elements and other odd collectables.


A mystery SAL that will be revealed to you over the course of a few months until we reach the end and you will have a completed cross stitch to frame and hang on your wall.

Overall stitch size is 174 x 247 stitches
Only full stitches and some backstitching
39 DMC colors

Stitched Sizes: (You will want to include an extra 2-4" on each side for your fabric size)

• 14 Count Aida: 12-3/8" W x 17-5/8" H
• 16 Count Aida: 10-7/8" W x 15-1/2" H
• 18 Count Aida: 9-5/8" W x 13-3/4" H
• 28 Count Linen: 12-3/8" W x 17-5/8" H
• 32 Count Linen: 10-7/8" W x 15-1/2" H
• 36 Count Linen: 9-5/8" W x 13-3/4" H

Recommended fabric is a darker one; fabric choice is up to you but be aware that you might need some additional backstitching for elements to show on light color fabrics. It is best to do a floss toss with your fabric to be sure all the colors show well and you are happy with the contrast. If its helpful, the model is stitched on a dark blue and it pops very nicely on that color.
